Hi Guys, Im a tad tall for the across and want to lower or move the pegs to the rear. Does anyone know another compatible bracket or aftermarket solution?
Raise the seat is an easier option. Maybe have the seat redone with more padding or use and airhawk pad.
Or some foam on top of the seat and then wrap it in a sheepskin seat cover to make it even higher? Would be nice and soft on ya butt!
Agree with @Murdo...........the airhawk will provide some lift and won't do your backside any harm I speak from experience having used the airhawk myself.
Thanks guys good ideas, but I will explain. The height of the pegs and seat is fine. The problem is the across dosent have the faring that your legs sit behind but has a indentation for your legs to sit in. Mine sit a bit high. If I raise the seat it will make it worse. Lowering the seat would improve it. Maybe take it off altogether; it couldn't be any harder???
Ha ha. I had a Ducati years ago that I refered to having a 'vinal covered board' for a seat. I understand your problem as one of my recent bikes had a fairly sharp edge on the knee dents of the tank which was right at the edge of my knees. I added foam to the seat and was able to move my bum further back the get my knee joints behind the edge. Could you make a flat plate to replace the Suzuki footpeg mounts and move them back?
