    Ok, couple of questions
1 Was that running with new oil or the old stuff ??
2 Had you checked the oil level prior to starting it ??
To be perfectly honest.....sounded better than some I've seen.

Old oil, and yes checked before starting. I'll change the oil and filter and check the valve clearances before running it again and see if that makes a difference...

My thought exactly.....some time new oil can make such a difference.

well no updates unfortunately, i promised my mini that i would direct my attention/funds to it first and get it finished before i touch the bikes, and the engine build for that is taking a lot longer than expected.
I did however trailer the bike up a carpark and putted around for an hour or so. it was my first time riding since i got my L's over 12 months ago, and god it was so much fun even just cruising around a carpark, ive totally got the bug again!
    here's a little snippet

I did my license test a couple of weeks ago...passed with all of about 10min on-road experience and a few hours riding in a carpark, goes to show that the system is way too easy.
I gave the bike a scrub to see what i'm actually working with, and did some plastic trimming (with the spare parts I had just in case I effed something up). But i'm pretty happy with how it looks, might just give it a major service and register it.
