    Cheers guys,
I looked (almost) everywhere for a part number and could find nothing.
Looks like the deal Maelstrom. Had a search of the Mick Hone parts finder and the 2000 GSF250V look to be the same when taken along with the connector rails and bits.

Is that an offer to sell kiffsta? or just letting me know :)

I will let you know later once I pick the bike up, I believe the bike is a 1999 GSF250V, it had low compression so the bike shop sold him a 2nd hand non variable valve engine and it wouldn't start so he gave up

Pulled the carbs apart (just a bit, my first carb experience) and looking at the gaskets and the ones posted by Maelstrom, looks like they are the same. Maybe the dimension photo will help. If so I will order a set.
Found out the carbs are BST MJN 29.
Can't find a lot of info about them.

So got a bit stuck for a while and am still a bit in the dark.
Got my kit and stuck the carbs in the wives ultrasonic cleaner and low and behold - part numbers
    Three have 4500 231
    One is 4500 222
I can find squat about these. Surely someone knows something.
