How does one check the igntion components?

    Can anybody tell me how to check the rectifier, the tci ignitor unti and the magneto to find out what condition it is in.
    ie; what resitance or voltage readings I should be getting and which wires and terminals I should be checking.

    I have a 1990 fzr 250 (3ln)
