Bracket on the front mud guard

Hey guys,

Newbie here bought a 3ln 250, and the front bracket that hold on the guard is broken, have both pieces
just wondering is it possible to spot weld that thin of aluminium( atleast thats what i think it is)

Considering the Mudflap off my 3LN is plastic, it might not be a good idea.

What actually snapped off? the bracket from the bike, or the bracket from the mudflap?

 

its the actual bracket thats attached onto the mud guard.. the part where the bolt goes into to hold it to the steel at the forks just came off i will try and get a photo up... i dont want to buy a mud guard really just for the sake of the bracket

 

Asin, this metal is broken in pieces?

 

I wouldnt know what the heat transference would be like on the plastic.

same thing happened to me. im now useing a piece of stainless about 1.5mm thick it was from one of those old school bed tables that mostly elderly people use. I took the broken one of the bike flattened it out with a hammer, taped the broken bits together traced around it onto the stainless then cut and drilled where required, filed the edges. bend a slight curve in it and attach to the forks bending till it fits, then attach to mud gard
