if you do make a rear caliper bracket out of aluminium the best way i would go would be cnc machined, bending ally would be pretty weak and could fail over time, maybe welding 10mm ally bits up would work. i just looked at my fzr bracket and it would be a ***** to make a new 1, the factory item is very srong and thick, i suggest getting it polished, i'm making my bike a street fighter too for a while (while i wait for a new fairing since last i crashed on 17/2/11) and i am getting my top fork clamp polished and the pillion peg mounts polished too whilst i'm fixing/upgrading my bike, i will post pics of the build soon <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s -->. but seriously the rear brake mount shouldn't flex at all - bending 10 mm would flex very little if it is about 40-50mm wide minimum. if you do fit dirt bike handlebars, get something like pro tapers or renthal bars - quality gear that.
mate where'd you get the rear sprocket from? I tried Chain Gang, got a 62t for $186 AUD, quality was apauling... gota few teeth shorter then the rest (not that this will hurt) but for something recently manufactured, i expect quality *sigh* going to see if they can refund me cause im not too happy. I think im best getting a rear sprocket like yours and polishing it up <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s -->
