Hi. Im in Brisbane and bought my fiancé a non working 2010 megelli 250r. Needs a crank shaft and starter clutch. Any chance you are selling engine parts and have that? Cheers

mate i have but would not strip a motor as i blew one up on my 2nd megelli. the starter clutch new is 300$ and no idea on crank. you bought the gold coast one off gumtree? ring sinh at motorsport imports and he will look after you. surprised a crank is needed.regards.

Thanks for your reply mate. Yeah I did get the yellow megelli from gold coast. Picked it up for $600 so should be worth fixing. Wonder if Megelli constantly breaks down and if its really worth fixing? Any advice? Crank shaft is stuck and 3 mechanics cant pull it off, has to be cut or something, starter clutch has chewed something up and crank shaft is stuck. $800 for the whole kit from motorsport imports plus lost of labour hours all up around $1200, not too bad I guess. Cheers
    Dom

bikes are pretty good but see what sinh will sell you a motor for. he has none in stock now. the starter clutch is in the flywheel. if it jammed the starter could be seized and not the crank done.take the motor out and remove rhs cover. remove clutch pack and then flywheel is bolted on to crank.sinh will have used parts in next 6 weeks as i am getting a motor under warranty and all parts needed are good. if you cannot repair happy to buy the bike off you and put my complete motor in. consider your best bet is to buy a complete motor off sinh or a writeoff and swap engine over.i lpove my 2 megellis but am doing up some fzr,s and now a cb750 to play with. nothing like an old coot in going back to teenage years. good fun.the megelli will give you 74mpg and run at 100 clicks all day.have hit 133 clicks but do not know what they top out at.tyre compound lasts but not sticky.

I would follow riskys advice and try for a complete engine changeover....find out whats available and if its "cheaper" of course.

Swapping out an engine is alot easier than changing major components.

And if u still have the damaged motor u can strip it down and sell the parts at inflated prices to risky.....

sorry mate, go to your nut and bolt wholesaler and buy stainless as the originals rust.

I did it, but the ISO7380 button head bolt (this kind of bolts are the standard you can buy everywhere), has different sizes than the Megelli original bolt.
    For example:

    ISO7380 M6 bolt: Allen key 4mm, thread diameter 6mm.
Megelli bolt: Allen key 4mm, thread diameter 5mm.

I think Megelli is using some special bolts and I can't found them nowhere. :(

i think you are looking for the dome heads as on the fairing.if you like send me the measurements you need as a bolt seller in newcastle has them. stainless and dome head bigger but no rust. once the genuine has had an allen key fitted they rust on the coast.if you need am happy to buy and post once paid. need quantity and you will need to shorten. screw a nut on and hacksaw bolt then screw nut off to clean thread.
