just finished doing a hell of alot work to the fzr 250 and took off from the lights and the front lifted a little so next few sets of lights done a few more times. Went down to the local abandoned imdustrial area and tryed it a few times getting further and further off the ground now it goes up like this . I haven't tried the top speed but i got it to 157 (satilite) in fourth/fifth b4 someone pulled out and i had to slow down.

lol.
i was amazed by my bike the other day when me an my mate took it up to the abandoned air field near my house. its an awsome place to play about. =p
basically the exhaust headers are funked and full of holes, just waiting until i get some new welding gear so i can make some new ones, so its lacking power a fair bit..
but i still managed to do a rolling burnout AND managed to get the front up properly for the first time!
iv got the front up on my friends r6 but on that its not really an achievement cos all you have to do it open it up a little...

it was scary on the little fizzer cos it weighs almost nothing so is twitchy...

They go don't they? Always takes the guys on the bigger bikes by surprise when you go out for a country 'cruise'. Seems people tend to think 250 == horse-drawn cart.
I found on the weekend that if I tuck my head down right behind the faring, the speedo needle will wind right round to the end of the dial at 190* - and keep accelerating. And that's with a zippier 16/55 gear combo.

* yes Dave, on a closed track, of course

I would hope so. Nowadays here it is instant loss of licence and vehicle here for that sort of thing on public roads..

i had my fzr maxed out at 190 and wouldn't budge on sydney > newcastle freeway (took me 25mins to get to gosford)

Definetely 190 is the max.

gotta hit about 8-10 grand to pop mine up, forks didnt sound too good coming down.

i dont get why everyone says 190 is max..
thats only what.. 120mph.
the most iv had out of mine in 131mph.
but it was scary. very. i got clocked by my uncles gixxxer as the fzr clocks arent accurate. lol.
i dont think my bike is tuned or anything.. but i dont know. was raced a couple of owners back. but then the person i got it from had stripped it down and rebuilt is for his collection and he didnt say anything about it being moded. he had it dyno at 59.4bhp.

45PS, nearly 45HP for all, except for the last 3LNs at 40PS.

And the FZR clocks would be more accurate than a GSX.. All Suzuki (and most other bike manufacturers) from around 2000 or even earlier have an inbuilt inaccuracy of 5-10% high. Mine (digital) reads accurate distance on odometer but 10% out on speed - 110kph on speedo is 100kph by GPS. My sons is also identical. The FZR is the most honest one I have seen on a bike.

ah right. well i'll try an find out whats been done to my bike then! =p
my clocks are out loads, somtimes by as much as 20mph. i dont tend to pay that much attention to them anyway. just ride at a safe speed for the roads im on.
