I sometimes listen to music whilst riding. I used to listen to music all the time, twisties included but now i mostly just listen whilst i'm freeway running or commuting. I find that some good ear plugs allow me to concentrate more on my riding if i'm riding quickly/aggressively.

Anyway, in the most played on my iRiver H120 is:-
- Muse
- ASH
- Smashing Pumpkins
- 30 Seconds to Mars
- The Cat Empire
- Paul Oakenfold
- Faithless
- Crystal Method
- Infected Mushroom
- Orbital

Out of interest, what sort of earphones does everyone else use? I used to use some Sony EX71SL canalphones but then one of the cables broke internally. Decided to up the ante and went and got some Shure E2's. Decent isolation and good sound even when i'm not on the bike. They were a little exxy though.

Id like to rig up a little remote up onto the tank or speedo so i can change songs. But no time.

PS. u dont relise how much crap u have when its on shuffle.

So do they give you any isolation at all or do you just make sure they're louder than the ambient noise? (wind, engine, exhaust, road)

basically they are just the ones that plug in you ears, i got suck of them because they would move and you cant adjust them like you would without a helmet the peices that wrap arround you ears hold them in your ear properly and make it alot more comfortable half of the time i only use one turned up a bit so i can still hear whats going on arround me.

These are my E2's.
They're IEM/canalphones so they actually go right into your ear canal. Some people might not like them due to the intrusive nature of them being IN your ear/head, but for isolation nothing comes close.

As you can see they go in your ear and then the cord loops over the top of your ear and down to a clasp behind your head so they're held in place. Even when putting on or removing my helmet they stay in place.
PS. That's not my head.
