Carbourator spray...

    I have heard about carbourator spray..how does it clean the carbs and do I have to remove the carbs from the bike? How to spray it?

    you can take off the air box, rev the engine and spray directly on top of the carb. For more thorough cleaning, take the carb apart and spray the inside e.g. the bowl, the needles, passages, etc.

    If your gonna do something you might aswell do it properly.
    Carb cleaner spray is best used when dismantling the carbs, then give em the once over with some an air compresser, then reassemble.

    There's also theories about 'carb cooking' but i've never done it nor seen it done so i tend to stick to my known methods.

    Is it safe to start the engine when the air filter is removed?
    My bike is a 3LN1 model, if someone with a similar model can post pictorial description of opening the carbs, I'd be obliged.
