    Tried to take the bike for a bit of a run today.....but only got 3 blocks away and it went into cardiac arrest ..... again.
    This has been an issue in previous test runs....it will go like stink but when u slow/stop to turn a corner it dies ..... will start again but only "idles" at throttle and stops if left to idle.
    Heres a sample...

    Now when u go back after a time (usually the time it takes to leg it and roll back home down the hills ... which is why my test rides are always "uphill" :laugh: )
    it will start and run normally again. :headbang:

    I took it out today as I had done a few things including cleaning out the breather/fuel cap .... as I thought it was a vacuum causing the prob.
    The breather is now working as u can hear it whistling regurlarly.

    All the other fuel components should be A1...tank has been cleaned out,petcock pulled apart,new fuel filter,new fuel lines and on startup procedure the fuel pump primes as it should.

    My conclusion is its running on the contents of the bowls and then dying as they arnt being replenished........but over time (15-20 mins) they refill and Bobs ya uncle ..... ???

    The one thing I didnt check was to see if the filter had fuel in it when it dies....which would point towards a pre filter problem if it was empty :icon_scratch:

    My guess is the floats are stuck ....the only major thing I havnt done is a carby overhaul.
    Its on the agenda but due to an extended OS trip soon it will have to wait.... :D

    Any input welcome :cool:

    Using the fuel in the carby up but not being refilled sounds very likely if you are getting about 3 blocks away from home. It would be good to see if there is fuel in the filter when it stoppes. Otherwise a carby stripo and rebuild sounds like the way to go.

    Yea and now I think about it the carbys sat on the bench for 6 months untouched.....I should have emptied the bowls when I first took them off..... :icon_scratch:

    Such is life    ::)

    check if fuel lines are rubber and replace with neoprene as e10 rots the inside [rubber]

    All fuel lines are brand new and I wouldnt use E10 if it was 10c a litre , in any of my vehicles.

    :cool:
