Just been doodling some new colours for when I repaint the bike, any What's your prefs for a colour scheme. These are basic and don't require a lot of work to get a reasonable finish so I am not interested doing flames or complex patterns etc.

I might add a few stickers, but not covered like before

mine is black and blue 'similar' to that look, but a bigger triangle and going to the fuel tank, looks quite nice, my fav colours are black and blue, or white and blue (id go white and blue personally) but i dont like the white and blue idea there :p are u set on that look? what about taking some inspiration from the new r6 paint scheme? there is a nice white n blue one!
p.s. i rekon silver rims with a strip of watever colour u choose to paint on the outter would look the bomb!

    K.

    Keep is simple.
Although a few 'yamaha' and 'FZR' and 'EXUP' stickers would certainly complete the picture.

yeah, H or I were my picks, and definately leaning towards H. I reckon it'd look hot with a Ducati yellow.

Maybe consider a second small splash of the same colour somewhere else - like a thin strip down the middle of the headlights and across the middle of the tank, or wheels done in the highlighted colour instead of the primary colour - something like that.

Ducati Yellow of a 250 of any sort is a sin!
Haven't you guys ever heard about the Across that was painted Ducati Yellow and the owner couldn't sell it! Starting price of $4000 for an Across with a paintjob, dropped to $3500, then $3000, then $2800, then it mysteriously went off the market.

    Ducati Yellow is for Ducati's.

Thanks for the opinions - My personal pref was K, I, H in that order. It might get a another stripe on the nose faring and a couple of FZR stickers, but wont be over-done.

The idea of the stripe is to break up the square block look of the bike and make it look longer and lower. It has to easy to paint as I will be doing it my self.

I had toyed with candy apple red or blue but I like the black/white contrast look.

not a fan of P... too many straight lines and hard angles. Kills the nice curvy, agressive look of the front fairings.

Besides, generally using anything more than 3 colours starts to make things look crowded.

As for no to ducati yellow - i can understand if it's done to the entire bike... but used on a few key places as a secondary colour, i think it's acceptable :p
