speedo cable

My speedo cable came out, I don't know how <!-- s:???: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":???:" title="Confused" /><!-- s:???: --> What can I use to keep the speedo cable on the damn bike???

It should screw into the instrument cluster.
...or has the screw bit broken off?

 

I htink the screw bit may have broken off....

 

I have a spare sheath with the screw bits minus the actual speedo cable. Is your for the price of postage if that is your problem. Make sure it hasn’t just rattled loose, use a pair of pliers to make sure it is tight.

 

Ok, assuming the plastic screw bit on the instrument cluster has broken off... have a look inside the end of the cable housing and see if it's still in there. It may be repairable (glue-able) if it's in there! Otherwise, it's gonna have to be cable ties ala. ghetto-mod.
