I just did a normal service for my bike 2 days before and put all the fairings back and runs very well and normal revs!! But today a very strange revs came out in my sight, 24000rpm-25000rpm on the revs meter. I am sure that the display is wrong, the revs is 8000 more than normal. (But sometime when I switch off the bike for whole night, it will back to normal, and happen again next day)
when i was riding in the 100km freeway, it was running 17000-18000rpm, (normally is around 9000-10000rpm). But the vibration, speed, sound and power also same as normal use, just the revs is abnormally high~~haha
Anyone try it b4 and what problem are they? any solution? Please help

Do you have an aftermarket digital display?

Sounds like it caught the 'magical rpm' syndrome from the new 2006 R6.

Check for a dry solder joint on the back of the tacho; there will be a loose wire 'somewhere' back there. Reminds me of when it happened to a mates ZZR250 and it told him he was always redlining it... he believed it and insisted he was taking off from the lights at redline.
