Hi everbody, just wondering how far your fzr's have been, my fzr went back to 000000, not by using a drill if anyone thinks im dodgy.
WOW!!! Clean it up real nice and sell it as new...
gettin there The old girl sitting just under 95 000 km, not long till i can sell it as new!! That said, she's still going strong!!
The dash says 70k but its off a different bike, apperently its closer to 50k Hey how do the bikes handle when they're around the clock? I never knew they could last that long, is that common? Or do they tend to be on their last legs, about to collapse...
All depends on how well they are looked after. Admittedly, it is rare to have a 250 at 100 000 + k's as most tend to be thrashed by learners (who also tend to forget routine maintenance). Bigger bore bikes will (should) last longer of course.
I have 51,200k on the clock. I don't know if that is genuine or not. But it still runs sweet and doesn't blow smoke, thats the main thing. A workmate has a CBR1000 with 140,000k genuine, he has had it from new and only ever had to do normal servicing.
I have had FZR250s in my garage with... as far as I could tell genuane 70K - 90K.. they were running like spring cheaken on steroids (good) and as far as I could tell these bikes were still on original carbs and defenately original engines... futher more none of them did't need any thing more than a regular service... On the other hand I have seen bikes (also looking genuane) with as little as 30K... some of them were SO mistreated their engines, suspention and carbs needed rebuilding and tuning...
well i could sell it new if it didnt burn down and as far as i knew it handled the same as any normal fzr, but it was starting to get a bit on the sloppy side, i have had some of the best and worst times on my fzr
3ln5 done 28914kms, or there abouts, ive only done about 300 of them so far, damn rain and no wet weather gear
-original dash 45000km -engine arround 23000 when replaced -import frame supposedly only 12000 when purchased im not to sure on much of this but thats what my mate said when i baught it
had 16K on clock when i got it. (as if) jumped to 38K amonth later (new speedo) now i have no klicks on the clock.
omg, my last post 4th march and 28914km, 9 months later and its only at 29972km im shocked, 9 months and barely 1000kms
How on earth did you manage that? The only way i could do that is if my bike was in the shop or off the road for 8 & 1/2 months of that 9!
