Hey all, hows this for bad luck with a bit of good luck. Over New Years at some point somebody tried to steal my FZR from my building parking lot. They smashed the ignition and removed the entire thing and obviously tried to start it to getaway with it. The only reason they didnt get away is because the battery is dead flat and not only that it needs a big service so the carbies are out of whack and it takes quite a bit to get it started... hows that! So im pissed off and slightly releived at the same time knowing i learnt a valuable lesson: LOCK YOUR BIKE THE F**K UP! Anyways.... anybody have any idea where i can get a whole replacement ignition switch with keys obviously and how much i could expect to pay as i have no friggen idea... Thanks guys im off. Javs
damn, lucky ur bike still with you ! try silverwater metrolplion wreckers.. it hink thats what their called. a friend got one for like $200 i think second hand.
Alarms! Please install alarms! They may only be 250's but that makes them very easy to steal and worth a decent amount of money even with a poor respray. Lucky you've still got your bike. The new lock will set you back anywhere between $150-300 depending on if they also try to sell you the rear lock aswell.
