    What has to be done to fit a 3LN motor into my FZR 250 to replace my worn 2KR.. or will it fit straight in <!-- s:sniper: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_snipersmilie.gif" alt=":sniper:" title="Sniper" /><!-- s:sniper: -->

    Don't completely know.. But I think someone already asked this. The mount points should be the same (But I think you'll have a few unused slots on the motor - not a problem)

    The oil sensor might (MIGHT) get screwed up and you'll need a transistor switch for that. Depends on what 3LN motor you get. Also, you'll need the same model carbies. No doubt about that one.
    Thats all I can think of. Have fun with that.

    Advice: If the motor has no stamped engine number.. KEEP THE RECEIPT!
    Damn VicRoads...

    I do think the 3LN-1 motor should fit into a 2KR frame... the 3LN-3 has a screw in oil filter which I think will be in the way of the frame... so perhaps the oil pan needs to be swaped... I have no idea as to the pickups for the ignition... Also the 2KR is wired up for an oil level sensor while the 3LN-3 engine has an oil Preasure sensor...

    ur not upgrading the bike infact ur downgrading the bike as 2kr motor has 3-5 more BHP than 3nl motor.

    I'm let to believe that they are the same motor.. anything that makes the bike go would be an upgrade at this stage

    Other way round my friend.
    The 3LN's increased weight gave the techies a reason to tweak the top end and air flow to increase the redline and up the power a few bhp.

    Some 2kr's have exup already (the later model 2kr's).

    As for this: <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.fzr250.com/viewtopic.php?t=635">viewtopic.php?t=635</a><!-- l -->
