Hi, I have a 3ln and when ever i apply the brakes i hear a clicking sound. it happends every revolution of the wheel. (ie. when i break at fast speeds it clicks faster when i slow down the clicking also slows.)
    The brakes work fine.
Could it have anything to do with the brake fluid? or bleeding the brakes?
    does anyone have any ideas?
    thanks

Get the front of the bike in the air, check both disks for cracks or dents and also for out of round. If its clicking as the wheel goes around, it has to be a problem with the rotating parts. Could also be be wheel bearing but unlikely.

P.S. I presumed it was the front??

I finally had time to check out the brakes and i couldn't find any problems (ie cracks, bends etc). l think it might be coming from the calipers. does anyone know what could be wrong?

could be a warped disc as result of a crash, rubbing unevenly on the pads. But if the sounds just appeared out of nowhere then that is unlikely.

I'll bet it is the pads rattleling around in the calipers. Are they really new or a fair bit worn? Have you taken the calipers off recently?

The calipers will mate with the back of the pads and will kind of stick there. if you break that bond, then the pad is going to move around a bit. Not much at all, but enough to make noise.

If you want it to stop, run up to the auto parts store and ask for some Disc Brake Quiet. It is a spray, hi-temp, type of glue. spray it on the back of the pads, let it dry until it is tacky and then reinstall. Should fix it up.

Thanks for the thanks. I try to do my own work on all of my machines, be car or bike. A lot of things, symptoms, and problems cross over.

By reading every post that is made over at the Brotherhood, I have gaind tons of information. You never know what may be buried 5 pages deep in a thread. And I ask a lot of questions.

I hope that the information that I pass along is helpful and if it isn't I find out why. Just trying to be helpful.

ps: the only FZR250 I have seen has been at the racetrack and that was 10 years ago...
