Yes, you can Turbo a carburated bike.

Yes, you can switch a carburated bike over to FI.

A cubic buttload of money, time, and knowledge of carburator's, engine mechanics, fuel injection, welding, electronics, and metal fabrication.

2 members over on the Brotherhood are attempting to do just this. Turbo and FI. They have been at it for almost 2-3 years and don't quite have it yet. One is in the States and the other is in the UK.

the yzf750r is larger and weighs than modern 1000's now... :-( But still darn fun. The new r1 I think weighs in at 172 kg dry, whereas the yzf750r is 195 kg dry...

Ace id also suggest getting some nos put onto the 750, some oversized back tyres, a few neons around the bike, and a melody horn.

If you turbo a 250 you'll only get one ride as the big end has not got the strength you need. You'll spin the bearing in about 30 metres of running under load and any worthwhile boost. Disappointing thin is a stock 600 will still walk all over it. As for fuel injection try a mega squirt system, they are pretty much capable of making any internal combustion engine FI.

I would never think of puting a torbo a 250 or nos mind you. But I think a torbo on a big bike 750+ would be grate fun.Im not talking big psi I'v seen a stok CBR900rr runing a torbo from Mr torbo.I think it cost about $6000 so as much as im going to spend on my next bike unles I win the loto.

These blokes are doing the exact same thing to a cbr250r (FI & Turbo). It is well written and worth the read to see the practical problems that need to be overcome with such a project. They still haven’t finished it yet which is a bit disappointing.

I've heard a rumour a bloke did a turbo on an FZR250 3LN-3. Apparantly he used the turbo from a suzuki cappuccino car.
I've never seen the thing though.

as far as turbo's go; you can put forced induction onto any motor at all but as starter said some things wont take it so well..... if you were thinking about doing it in the future pick a bike with more displacement and a more robust bottom end so you dont bend/kill well.... everything. also have to drop your compression ratio too so your motor will not explode. as far as common turbo'd bikes. check out some of the turbo Hayabusa's that run around. one of my mates is doing his up and is currently collecting data and parts to turbo his.

Your not wrong there, Busa's go well with a blower.
I have picked up a few videos of the net in various applications, best of all a 499Bhp version been riden on a public road in Sweden, with no effort the thing just picks the front wheel up 300 Kph!!!. Fcukin insanity!!
Good videos though, www.ghostridermovie.net , see for yourselves.
