Nice ride you've got there <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="" title="Cool" /><!-- s -->
What did you do with the muffler did you sand it I wish mine looked like that. The coating on mine is different shades and looks s#%t. Has any one tryed gun blue to recoat it. I like the original muffler and mine has no crash scratchs so if any one knows a cheap way to recoate it please tell. I think if I was to send it away to get chromed it would cost just as much as a new one. Bike looks good
Thanks again to FZR Dude for helping me posting the pics.. Also thank you all for the good comments.. at least all my efforts were rewarded.. <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s --> <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s --> <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s --> <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s --> <!-- s --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s --> ACE-- I did not do anything special with my muffler, I just regularly apply metal polish on it and on alloy framings.
Looks like it is in very good shape, not many people can say that about their FZR. When I first got my bike the black coating on the can was in really bad nic. I was contemplating getting it powder coated or sanding it back and polishing. In the end I went a bit nuts and got a big smudge of Autosol and a rag and scrubbed like crazy. It came up so good that I haven’t even contemplated recoating since.
