    Hi, i was wondering for some help.

    There is a nice FZR that i have found 1989, 9000miles, mint condition and the asking price is £1200-1300, i was wondering if this is a good price for the bike or isit expensive?

    Thanks

    £1200-1300 is about equal to $3000AU, which is about right for 2KR in decent condition. That said, the UK market and the Australian market vary greatly.

    I'd recommend PM'ing one of the Irish/UK members on this forum and asking them directly (or i guess they'll see this thread soon enough) - they'll be able to give you a better idea of what their worth in your market.

    That said, it sounds like a decent price as long as it's in decent condition and mechanically sound. I'd highly recommend paying a small amount and getting a bike mechanic to check it over. It may cost you £20 but it may save you alot of heart-ache and financial troubles later on.

    Must admit, I'm struggling to see why the guy did not ask for more, he wanted £550 and I had the cheek to get him under £500....

    Bloody good fun.

    What year is that RZV? Looks to have a similar paint job to my 94 1000.

    The little fella looks like he's keen to go for another spin!
    Very nice bike you nabbed yourself there. For the price you paid, i'd say you got a very very sweet deal!

    Well his big brother was off on a scout weekend so he was feeling a little lost, it was either down the fields with his dirt bike or a spin on the 250, I won.......Just ;)

    The more I use the FZR the more I love it, great fun.

    "F' reg should be an '89. Still cheap though considering I gave about a thousand pictures of her Maj for my '88 2kr.

    Imports get age related plates, it's only if it's of Questinable origin that you get the Q plate.

    I seem to remember that Swansea stopped issuing 'Q' plates some years ago to combat fraud. If you cannot prove how old a vehicle is and where it came from, in the crusher it goes.

    That figures as it's been a while since I last saw one on the road.
    It must have impacted on the sale of files <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
