I know most of you are careful about what meat/eggs you buy, but some of you might not be aware. Please buy free range/organic eggs and meat! In this huge country we take for granted our wide and boundary less spaces yet companies keep pigs, chickens, cows, sheep, etc. locked up in tiny cages were they can't move. Britain and the European union is even ahead of Australia in this field. They our some of our prime export countries yet they take more pride in their animals/livestock.

Here is a good example for some quick info: www.savebabe.com

Excuse the essay but I feel very strongly about the issue and always have. I just have found a good site which will quickly educate many people. So please tell everyone you know. I know the meat/eggs are dearer, but it honestly tastes better and is healthier. So it will keep you safe and riding that bike longer too!

Agreed as well. I personally want to get a chicken coup in the back yard with 3-4 chickens. They lay eggs (therefore no need to buy), they airate the garden and grass well, they fertilise the garden/grass well, and they are not that 'loud'. Only have to be careful of possums and foxes (which is why they have a cage for hte night).

Halal meat is what Muslims eat. Animals are raised a certain way and slaughtered differently.
