    G'Day Guys!

Just a quick questions to all the Australians on the site.

What tyres are you guys running and are you happy with them?

I currently have a Bridgestone BT45 on the rear and am reasonably happy with and a Dunlop Arrowmax 501 on the front, which doesn't inspire much confidence when hookng into corners.

What i was looking for was something a bit stickier for road use, but in the standard sizes 130/70 R17 (Rear) and 100/80 R17 (Front).

    Thanks

    Nathan

Looking for a suggestion too, for the front. My friends dad owns an Owen Tyres store... so if I can come up with model/size/brand I can get him to order one cheap.

    Anyone?

    Thanks,

I recently replaced both my front and rear tyres and decided to go for the Bridgstone Battleaxes over the Dunlop 501's. They seem to be one of the only 2 that make tyres to fit the fzr specs. The 501s I believe are alot harder than the battleaxes, so thats the reason why I choose them

My bike did originally have a pirelli's on the front...but I think they are quite hard to get..The battleaxes set u back around 130 fitted for fronts and 140 for back, which is quite reasonable.

    Step,

When i was looking on the Bridgestone website they sugest to use a tyre called a BT39 for more sport orientated use and it is supposedly a softer compound and they are listed as coming in the right sizes. ie 130/70 R17 rear and 100/80 R17 front, this is for the 3ln model. I seemed like no one is Australia imports these tyres.

Maybe i'll end up just getting the BT45's then.

when I changed tires I went from Battlaxes to arrowmax's. Found the arrowmaxes much better compared to the battlaxes personally. But then again when I changed my tires were a fair-way past their actual use-by date/tread...

That size is correct for the earlier models too according to the Bridgestone fitment guide. There should be a placard on the LHS of the rear swingarm.

I also found that you buy a Pirelli Sport Demon in the right sizes. But someone did make the comment they are hard to get, but with the right contacts you might be ok.

Boz. i know what you mean about the tyre being a bit past it's useby date, my rear tyre is getting quite bald, and the front is beginning to crack at the bottom of the tread grooves.
