My max was around 167 (didn't hit 170, but faster than 165), and revs were at ~15 500 or so at the time. There was more left in it, but unfortunately there was not much more in me...

Im same as Boz on this, I was racing a ZXR (pile of ****) and got my bike off da clock, his was off the clock too. I had my revs up in the red but didnt hold it there cause i might pop my engine. Ive also done this a few times.

LOL, very true Jarmizz
i had (past tense) about 115mph which i think is about 185kmph out of my totally standard fzr but i cant see that happening again with my bike in its current state, it seems to be wanting a completely new front end!

Oh sorry guys I meant same as EMBO hahaha. Oh new front end aye. Big job but should have good rewards. The FZR can be quite quick considering the CBR600 F2 only tops out at 235km/h. Image what you could push the FZR to do with a race exhaust and jets to suit. Change the timing to give more top end and change a few sproket settings.

Just a thought.

I've had my bike up to 125 mph, in 5th gear, then i slowed down. I enjoy having my licence, the speed doesn't scare me, the COPS do.

I heard the top speed of an fzr600 (the bike i have) is about 155 mph, but I'm waiting to get on a track to test that out

My friend has gone 165 mph on his r6, with more to go, but he ran out of highway (cars in front of him)

Edit: 125 mph = 201 kilometers per hour so 165 mph is about 250ish kilometers per hour, i think?

mph * 1.67 = kmh. Thus 165 = 275 (give or take)

lol

Yep Boz you got it!!! Man thats fast I want a R6, top speeds to make me go WOWOWWOWOWOWOW as much as how the larger bikes like Zero's and R6 etc get to the speed, like ours will do just a tinkle over 200km/h if pushed but it takes its time to get there, with an R6 vaaarrrrrommm and your there at nail biting speeds.

Take this for speed, the brand new R1 does 160km/hs wait for it wait for it wait for it in 1st gear Now thats what I call a bike

Fast

With the top speeds of bikes you also have to remember that factorys tune their bikes diffrently for the diffrent markets/countrys. For example the UK tuned R1 would be slightly de-tuned than the NZ market one for diffrent reasons.

This was seen when Honda brought out there NC30 VFR400 it was quick for the 400 range of bikes but then 3 years later when they brought out the slightly modded NC35 RVF400 it was de-tuned but having "de-jetted" carbs and other such modds or you could say de-modds hahaha.

As far as I know no FZR250r EXUP 3LN's ever got de-tuned for any market but with all the diffrent top speeds we are getting that might be the thing that is stopping some from going quicker. But it also could be the more normal reasons like diffrent sproket setting and diffrent cond of engine internals etc etc.

Just some food for thought.

Aslong as you dont push your bike higher than 15,500rpm for a long time you should run into major problems, thus said your bike would have to be runing correctly and not leaning out with good oil. :D:D.
