    Dean,
why don't you take R6 for a test ride? i did just that and i found it was very easy to ride.

    R6

Well a way you can look at it is like this. Would you trust your self on one. If you got given the keys to a new R6 and you took it for a ride would you take it easy, learn to ride the bike and get use to the power?? Or would you go out there a fang the living day lights out of it???

If you take it easy and learn to ride the bike then you are ready for a R6 if you would go out and hit the throttle stop in every gear (ahhh that would rock) then stay with the smaller bike.

Remember Dean its not the bike, size, power that kills you its your ability that does. Newbies in USA like 16 year olds ride R1s and not all of them die so theres no reason why you cant buy a R6 and ride it with out killing your self.

I say buy one bacause Ive known you for a while now and I know you can trust your self and be sensible.

LoL, i dont think thats the case... NYE i came back home from the city and it was packed with cars.. anyhows i was lane spilltting like crazy.. middle lane with oncomin traffic then between cars then on the left hand corner near the kerb.. .and i wasnt spilltin at 20kms.. i was doing like 60-80 kmph.. i was goin skitz.. but i tell u i was concenrating real hard.. watchin out for cars and all.. but it felt good to get home in 35mins.. then i rang my mate who left in the car the same time.. he was only a 10minutes normal drive from the city and that was in 35 minutes.. damn wat traffic.

    mmmm

Well if thats the case Dean you will never be ready for a larger bike. If you do live for much longer I would say slow down does your life me so little to you.

Slow down and just cruze. No matter if you get home 35mins ealier or not life is just to important to waste.

There is another reason too - a bigger bike, even the r6, would not be able to weave in and out of traffic like a little 250.

(note: I totally agree with Jarmizz re: slow down and be patient as there is a time and place for lanesplitting / hooning, which I would doubt could be considered NYE)

I think it is a personal thing. I have never ridden like that - even when frustrated / anxious. I always just think that I have no-one to impress. After all - likely never to see any of the bystanders again, and even if you do they won't know cuz you had a helmet on.

    lane

Yep Boz is right. The R6 is a bigger bike and weights alittle more too. Good to hear that you are a safe rider boz and keep it up. I have learnt from others to be safe and take it slowly.
