Hi, my Spada got knocked over and now there is crack in the exhaust where the muffler joins the pipe. I'm thinking of getting it welded up , however I believe you can cut the exhaust and fit an aftermarket muffler. Anyone got any recommendations? Hi, the exhaust is off the bike. The hole in the bottom of the pipe looks like it was meant to be there as it is round. Does anyone have a Spada with original exhaust and can verify? See the picture. It is the hole on the black pipe near the weld.
Thank you , this morning I had a new tyre fitted and when I picked up the bike the mechanic told me that there exhaust was leaking. Obviously not what he was referring to. There are no other holes so I'll put it back together and check that everything is torqued up correctly. And.. stop worrying. thanks again. Glenn.
Hi, the header clamps on cylinder one (rear) were not tight and unfortunately almost impossible to get at. I did the best I could with available tools but will probably invest in something better. It sounds OK, and I can't feel anything when I put my hand next to the clamps. Glenn.
I'm running one of those mufflers from xcite on my Spada Just had to cut the old muffler off & mig the adapter plate on. They are designed for a straight swap for the MC22. Sounds great though!
The hole in the bottom is standard I think it is as a bit of a drain Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You can get muffler repair tape that is a plasticy type product that melts on under heat. It is a quick fix for holes, on my old CD250U It was a permanent feature and never came off. If you get stuck I suppose. I think I bought it from supercheap auto.
