I wasn't prepared to pay $100 for a paper air filter from the local Yamaha dealer, so I gutted the paper from the old one which came out surprisingly easy and made my own foam insert. At about $18 for half a metre of filter foam it was simple and cheap.
Two weeks on its working fine and makes a bit more induction noise.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I got the foam sheet from Brisbane air cleaner service in brendale qld.
The seam is sown. I made it over size to fit in nice and tight.

Hi mate , I didn't do the sealing foam on the top or bottom, they were in pretty good condition.
