they are, consier the ZXR has 4x carbies, compared to the lower output zzr250 with twin pots and carbs. - my 88' ZXR250A would consistently chew 6.0L/100km - i would run out on main 200km's on the money and switch reserve with a 20km range to find a bloody servo!! good bike though despite all its air leaks
Hey greggie. The zxr is an extremely high revving bike and the real redline is at 18,000rpm so on mine at 100km/h in top gear it sits on 9500rpm
I normally reach about 240 before hitting reserve, and thats a mixture of riding around town, stopping and starting and crusing on the motorway.
Well it sounds like I'm getting a bit less than I should be. Hopefully once I get the carbs done it will be a bit better.
