    the balls are a standard size. just sent a pm.cheep as chips at maccas. no----cheaper.

    part of the retainer is built into the headstock.

    bet the local bearing warehouse was cheaper.the megelli,s had unsealed ball bearings that were like pushbike headstem bearings.

    I tried them but they were no help said the only way would be to repack them

    mate, when i took a few of mine in they put a digital caliper on them, told me the size and had in stock and could have bought as many as required.need to find a different bearing wholesaler. i use bearing dynamics in newcastle and always look for the oldest desk assistant.

    Yea true and that's wat I did, measured at 25x45x12 which is an uncommon size so instead of sitting there replacing the balls I chose to purchase a bean new kit

    i do not follow that measurement. in my megelli,s the bottom of the top bearings and the top of the bottom bearing is machined into the headstock and both the very top and very bottom are steel machined circles that fit over the headstem.the individual balls are fitted till the circle is complete. i use bearing grease in the cups and fit each ball individually with a greased end of a small screwdriver to deliver them into position. a slow process.then they are pressed into the grease in the cups and the front of the bike let down to put pressure on the bottom of the headstem then repeat for the top. cup then on, washer and nut do up carefully and when done move the handlebars. if toooooo tite losen off and if tttooooo lose titen up. helps to have a 2nd pair of hands helping.if too tite or too loose the bike will be unrideable.only the 2014 models had tapered bearings.

    nothing like this in any of the 4 megelli,s i have. 2 parts bikes and 2 registered.all have loose balls and no taper.

    No I'm not saying these r original wat I'm saying is that instead of re packing the balls into the bearing I'm going to change it to tapered

    And if u got 2x parts bikes any right hand fairings lol

    fairing on one damaged and other was a motard. there is a yellow set for sale on gumtree or ebay for 250. be careful of a seller called billy on gumtree so pick up in person.let us know how the tapered bearings go as i do not know if it can be done but consider the tapers are superior to balls.tapered were on the 2014 model but they had a different frame.

    also superior handling- faster than the previous model race bikes do to cornering.
