Hi, this is my first 'how to' post, so any. Tips afterwards would be great

If you have an across, you probably realise parts are a little hard to search for online or expensive.

I found a paper across filter online for about $30, so I ended up searching a little more and found that the air filter from a gs500 fits... Sort of

UNI Replacement Air Filter For Suzuki GS500 Madura 85-02

    Here is what I did

Pull it out of the box, looks like this

There is a rubber inlet guide on the top that will be in the way of the across' curved inlet guide.

Simply squeeze it together and it comes off really easy.

Now when you put it in, the screw holes won't line up.
I was going to drill them.

But I decided it was easier to rotate the filter and bolt the across curved intake over it.

I've had mine on for about 2 weeks and it works great.

    Thanks
    Ben
