    Hi,
Will the tank from a C model fit an A ? I know there'sbodywork updates but not sure about the tank..

Also.. anyone found some trick exhausts ? looking for a full twin silencer system.

    Cheers!

Yea I would say the 'cheapest' option would be to custom make the headers to match the mufflers and fitting point.

The c model tank has 2 different mounting points and is a different shape, so the answer is not easily.

But of course anything can be fitted with enough time and money.

If you can get hold of the brackets as well you can use the tank but it doesn't match up with the fairings.

Hmm.. Don't see many 'a' tanks come up on ebay. Might have to try and rescue the existing tank which is a ball of rust.
    Thanks.

Unfortunately the reason not many are for sale is most have turned to balls of rust. They are pretty rare now. If you can salvage it you might have to.

Thanks Tim - I don't mind paying post if not excessive - perhaps not so much if sent by sea.
I have a mate in Oz at Xmas and I may also be able to persuade him to bring it back as hand luggage ;)

Just ordered some ZXR400 brake levers+ master cylinders so kinda hoping they slot straight on 250 bars.
Anyone know if the 250 swingarm is similar dimensions to 400 ? .kinda like the braced version.

Tank will fit, you need a c model tank bracket and you need to drill and tap a 6 mm hole at the front for the tank to mount to the frame, other than that it fits fine. Unsure about rear fairings clipping into the tank, can't say I'd be too worried if they don't considering those little plugs aren't structural anyway.

Yay got an A model tank for 50quid !

Next question.. What rearsets fit from other bikes ? Bugger to get any for the zxr and I have the common broken hanger issue. Cheers.

I've bought a zinc plating kit to have a go at a few bits. How hard can it be.. :)

Have had a zinc kit for three years and four bike restos. Biggest thing is cleanliness. I bead blast, wire brush, wash with thinners to get finger grease off, then into the heated cleaning solution for 20 minutes, clean water rinse and into zincing solution.
