Mine is a stock ZXR250c pipe, however it has been drilled out and has a rather loud note - you can have it for $50 plus postage

A new update! I've been really busy with uni lately and the bike has gone on the back bench for the last 2 weeks, today I received some parts from Chris! I got a whole rear subframe to play with and modify to fit some other fairing sets to, and I got a stock exhaust that has been drilled out, I'm getting this one cut in half, (would do it myself but it's welded and I can't weld myself so I can't get it back on). Finally got that battery bracket! Can finish putting the rest of the bike together now. I haven't had a chance to attend to the leaks, so I went out and tried to start the bike today, ran perfectly well, however, it's pissing out oil from the rocker cover. nuts. Really need to realign the gasket around the spark plugs. Here's some photo's of the leak.

    hey Aj

The rocker cover bolts should have a gromet inside the bigger rubber gromet, I'd assume these are missing

oops, I haven't updated this in a little while, well the leaks are fixed, turned out the gasket wasn't installed correctly D'oh! got all the fairings finished and they're great, last leg, brake installation and radiator installation, got the bike towed to bikesmith, turns out there's a bent triple clamp/fork leg, it's about 5mm out, but it's putting my steering geometry out completely, so we're going to bend it back.

as for the tank, all good mate, it was the photo's making it look shiny, it had a very satin sort of finish to the paint before I painted it, I got all the clear off, some sections were down to the metal, got it done over with 2k clear anyway, I painted with a can primer

Also, for an announcement, I now volunteer at The Bikesmith in blacktown for anyone who wants to come get work done on their bike! Went there for a whole day on wednesday and half day on friday, I have to say, they are the most thorough shop with the best service and best workmanship of any store I've ever been to! My bike is going there from now on.
    place to go to:

3/62-64 Sunnyholt Rd, just next to Midas/Bob Jane, near the Harley dealer.
    www.bikesmith.com.au
Labour rate is $110p/h, work is top notch and they're transparent with everything they do, bring a bag with you if you're getting your service done, they'll most likely be returning the items they removed/replaced from the bike and giving them to you (if you want them of course, I always do)

I know it's been ages since I've looked at this and worked on my bike, it's taken a back seat at the moment as I ended up in the business end of my uni semester, though, here's a pic of it sitting in the workshop as it is now, almost complete....

turns out the clamps were slightly out, replacing them, nothing else is damaged, frame is straight and forks are straight, also found both discs warped, replacing them as well, the wheel is also slightly bent, but nothing balancing can't fix.

the clamps are the weak point on this bike for the front end, the forks are much stronger then the clamps it looks like

    27/10/11

well the clamps have been replaced, just waiting on front rotors, I have been a bit cheeky, had some money saved and splurged on this:

shouldn't have, but I have now learned how to do wheelies... and I'm trying to sell it to see if I can get the zxr out of the workshop quicker, but if not, the zxr will just have to stay put.. hmm...

I do want to keep it though, but let's see how many visitors I get.

    08/11/11

sold the madass about 3 days ago, today I went and put a deposit down for finishing my bike, new tyres going on, metzeler race tec 2 on the front, and still undecided about the back as it's an 18", and I want the best tyres I can buy for the first changeover as I'm going to do a few track days on it.

Bike should be in my hands next week albiet with triple clamps and rotor carriers unpainted, everything else done, just need lights and indicators on for rego.

almost there, just need fork seals done before it gets put back together by next week, after going to superbikes on sunday, I have a fire in my belly that just cannot be put out by looking at bikes any more...

It's been a LONG time, I've neglected posting as progress has been slow but steady, almost there now! Need to now just repaint the engine and fairings in 2K, probably going a low gloss jet black with some gold pinstriping.
