Hey Murdo as u can see no ink no on conrods Hey Grey can u see her now she looks a bit tatty Sent from my C1905
Just at a glance the bearing shell selection may have numbers for the journal diameter and conrod bore diameter - that's all you're tying to work out If the different shells come with the material thickness listed also - then measure the conrod bore diameter minus twice the shell material thickness which should yield the appropriate big end journal diameter If the parts details don't give the material thickness then what I've just described is useless peace out
Heres a link to the 2KR manual ...in Japanese of course but 'numbers' are usually in English ..... one of our members (Stu) also reads Japanese if u need a few words translated... http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?resources/yamaha-fzr250-2kr-service-manual-japanese-part-3.110/
Am I posting in Japanese ? Again ....Ive given u access to the our resources and all that info is there ..... http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?resources/categories/fzr250.34/
Hey Grey can't get into the link that u have sent me my password doesn't match even tryed my Facebook password Sent from my C1905
Hey Carel Click on the Resources button (on the top of the page), once it loads, then look for the heading Categories on the left hand side, then click on Yamaha then FZR250 Chris
check out this item no. on ebay 251524660573 it says conrod bearings but they are crank main bearings... buying yamaha will cost a fortune if they are still available, if yours is a 400 I think they do those also... the only time you would use color coded bearings is if you are planning on racing and you want absolute precision clearances, otherwise a standard aftermarket set will do.
