Four of these bad boys just arrived from Italy. Fantastic quality. Two piece design eliminating the pin slot issues and also does away with the spring which wears the collars

They are made by some Italian guy on the Aprillia rs250 forum called Luca. €210 well worth it.

Right then I just machined some new collars from brass. I have added a shoulder to increase contact area and reduce wear. I have also added 0.5mm as an insurance policy to the front face. Sure the valve will be a tiny bit open but less chance of contact with the rings. Here is a pic and my drawing.

I ran out of decimal points on the digi calipers. I must try harder.

Please elaborate on the powervalve causing the rattle. Ive just picked up a rs125 that has a distinct rattle/tapping at lower rpm. Happens both at idle and coasting. Goes away under acceleration.

Is this the powervalve or big end bearing?

    Cheers

Rs 125 power valves are different to Rgv ones. But I have installed one. Id say its your big end cause there isn't much to rattle. Search rave valve and you will see what I mean
