Hey guys & girls, slight issue with my lid tonight when pulling into work. I flicked the visor up, as I always do, and holy Jesus the whole pivot kit detached itself from the lid!!
My first thoughts were "lucky that happened now & not on the commute into town @ speed" & "****, more cash I need to spend".
After having a look @ it, it seems that the 2 screws holding the pivot kit to the lid have unscrewed themselves. No big drama to loctite & tighten back up but a pain in the arse that it happened all the same.
Anyone else out there had lid drama like this?
I've never had an issue with it until this. Unless you count wanting the visor window to go a little higher so I can tuck in a bit more without losing vision.

I have a HJC CL-11 but its a different setup ..... yours looks a little complex when it really need not be.

1 screw each side and its off or on ... and easy to check its tight with a coin......

Mine has a quick release mechanism for fast & easy visor change. I guess it serves a purpose although I don't need that function

It's certainly not what you want to happen when out & about. & a pillion sent it to the grave. That sux man.

I'll be in the market for something new in the near future so will look harder into it than with my first lid

Lucky for me I still have my primary (Nolan). The toutek was a second hand (but NIB by all accounts. Only used as a pillion lid for occasional riders), and came free with the ex's first bike so no huge monetary loss, and I still have MY helmet :p
