Well, the 2024 WSBK is three rounds in and there's plenty to love about this year's championship. Seeing an Aussie on the podium at Assen prompted me to get this thread going. Toprak has already shown his class by winning a couple of races for BMW. Rea is struggling on the Yamaha. Alex Lowes has had an uncharacteristic year so far managing to stay upright and score well on the 2024 version of the Kawasaki. 2023 Supersport champ, Nicola Bulega, doing well on the factory Ducati. Iannone showing odd flashes of his old form. Petrucci also not doing too well. Oh, and Bautista is leading the championship. Spinelli's victory in race 1 at Assen was lucky, but fun to watch.
It's refreshing to watch an Aussie rider mixing it up with the best in his class. Makes a difference from burning up your tyres and finishing out of the points!
