And to end the thread hijack .... avocado and vegemite (mixed) on toast is the trip ... and u dont need a man bun , a pod filter on your brown seated cafe racer or a bandana flapping in the breeze on your Harley tractor , to participate in such a fine dining experience. carry on
Have interstate guests with us for the weekend so no playing with bikes. The servo for the exhaust is working but the valve in the exhaust has been removed by a previous owner and so have the cables. Have not worked out the connector as yet and cannot find a wiring diagram for the bike, found some similar ones but they all have differences. As I said everything electrical seems to be working. I am also going to get a new front brake master cylinder and lever complete and a new clutch lever as I am not happy with them. Have found a nice set off an MT09 but suggestions of options would be nice. Cheers Craig
Thats tough with no wiring diagram, been there myself. If its all working figure its for some rare option & forget it unless you find something needing a plug I have already dissected car engine harness cerefully with razor blade & a notepad & pen for a hybrid engine swap. Hands get REALLY sticky from the tape, but you find out EXACTLY what goes where (then often get MORE confused !) Maybe its a deleted switch like for the kickstand switch some people remove ( i know diddly about your bike model, just a general mod some do ) The servo exhaust intrigues me, pretty high tech, will have to read up on that one. I dont know much about the bike to give controls suggestions other than pay attention to the master cylinder bore size to keep brakes to spec. Rare to have interstate guests, and even more so lately ! Enjoy it while u can, the bike can't miss you when you say your good byes
Have not heard from the guy who had the air box and so I have purchased myself a parts bike which has the are box and brake master cylinder I was after. Will pull what I need off the bike and then part the rest out to interested parties.
@Why? Cable adjustment process is here , in case u havnt seen it https://www.2fiftycc.com/index.php?...-powervalve-information-and-maintenance.1099/
Had another issue today, had trouble removing spark plug number 3, very tight all the way out. When I went to put the new plug in could only get it in a couple of turns with my fingers and then it tightened right up. Ended up purchasing a M10 x 1mm tap and running it through very gently. All sorted plug goes in using fingers as it should. Now if the bloody tyres and front brake master cylinder would turn up the bike would be ready for a proper test run. Engine is running very smooth and EXUP valve is doing its thing. Then one will have to decide which of the 2 FRZ250's to keep as I want to get a 600cc bike next for when my missus wants to hop on the back. Need to make room.
Well here it is, still waiting on the front master cylinder and tyres but shes up and running, engine is very smooth just need to get the idle right. Could also do with a shorter speedo cable.
Its seems to idle fine for ages then every now and then the revs drop and it sometimes stalls, before I tinker any more with the carbies I want to give it a good run up and down the street a few times as its not been running for a long time. But I will take your advice. Thanks
New brake master cylinder installed, I was right the other one was crap. Brake feel so much better. Will fit tyres when I get back from holidays.
