Weighed it. Made a crude gantry crane for the H-beam that spans the depth of my shed. Hung a scale from it and got a reading of 120kg. Bike was minus tank, seat and muffler. Pretty happy with the weight saving as factory it weighs 160kg I think. Finished it should come in under 130kg.

Picking up the ZXR250T from @Murdo and catching up with the Chief tomorrow before heading to Gunnedah for the TDRA drag meeting. 8 bikes entered so far, so it should be a fun weekend (if the rain stays away).

Got a bit grumpy at how much stock fairing plastic+ a bit of carbon fiber backing- seems to chew up sandpaper!!! Gonna take me an age to smooth these new lines in without destroying the damn thing with a power tool[IMG]

New bush mechanic fix…Oh the horror! : )
Working on my new SPADA project… The rear brake master cylinder reservoir on Spadas are the worst designed part of the bike. Cheap mild steel screw and nut setup locates the reservoir cap. Trouble is the nut is located in plastic and is totally inaccessible with any tool. Over time the nut and screw corrode together and become impossible to seperate. It’s not possible to stop the nut spinning when the screw is turned and the vast majority of owners seem to just give up servicing the rear brake… I wondered why there was a carefully trimmed piece of gaffa tape neatly stuck to the reservoir cap and removed it. A previous owner had destroyed the screw heads, then very ingeniously carefully drilled a hole into the middle of the reservoir cap to enable them to get fresh fluid into it…… Fantastic !! 83C7E62B-713D-413A-B68B-6F472B8E26E5.jpeg DAEEC89A-6F60-4B15-9DB1-377B2A8082B7.jpeg

    Bought another bandit 250, GJ74A.
If the clutch case is and the frame number is correct, I might have a 45hp model.
A bit late at night for photos, and it's a bit of a basket case but I'm chuffed.

Maybe I should start sorting this one out before window shopping for another one.

Rgv swing arm is on the way too.

Spent less time on mower repairs than I anticipated last night, so used the leftover shed time to fit evotech short levers to the XSR900. Not as short as I wanted, but moved the clutch lever mechanism clamp toward the centre of the handlebars so now I can now two finger clutch without releasing grip on the bar with the ring and pinkie fingers, so that's a win.

Checked with the local Dealer yesterday and my new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is in the country and on its way to sunny Albury.
So hopefully I should have it soon, just as the weather is improving.
Plan this weekend is to detail the CB400FS and get it up for sale, might need a new chain and a service as well.

Took the head off the bandit and discovered the head gasket coating has deteriorated. Metal still good.

Anyone know of a gasket maker pm me.

Located Brisbane but will be willing to send aus wide.
