    Hi all, New (old)guy here.

Just bought blown up MC22 to fix up.
I need a bottom end, if not an engine.
    Anyone have anything out there?
Very familiar with engine building, but a mc22 newbie.
    So looking forward to this.

    I'm in Adelaide
    Many thanks guys,
    Jerry

Hey again, all. This is the engine I'm replacing/repairing.

So, before I pull it down on the weekend, anyone want to take a stab at what happened here?

Only other things I can tell you is that the kid says he rode it home like this "but it made a bad noise". (so, it still ran)
It turned over here, fired and would have started if it had fuel.
Can see something touched the crank web through the hole.

Ouch. If you're planning on rebuilding the whole engine, make sure you can find the parts you need first. It might be better/faster/cheaper to source another engine.
