Has anyone bought one of the cheap carburetors from Aliexpress?
I don’t know if I should avoid the cheap alternatives at all costs?

A week of Google hasn’t helped me at all to find a replacement carburetor for the 1991 GN250 (except a few several-hundred-dollar originals from overseas; I’m in Aus so importing is a gamble at the moment with CoViD).

Is there somewhere that I can find out what other carbies would swap straight over?
Or what the important pieces of information are, to try and match it myself?
The current carb is a Mikuni but I have no idea of model/version (I can only find Suzuki part numbers & they’re superceded).

I am currently hunting for the right repair kit, as I’m hoping I can just put a kit in it.
I seem to get a lot of cheap Chinese options on Google, & not much at all on eBay Australia. A lot of the posts say they’ll fit GN’s up to 1988, but mine is a 1991.
Mick Hone (here in Aus) doesn’t even list 1991 as an option for parts, so I get a bit confused about what I can & cannot use.

    Cheers! :drinks:
I use CMNSL for parts on the old Honda, but for the GN it lists only 1990 & 1992 for Australia (& non-Au 1991 has four different carby assemblies mentioned, depending on model - & I have no idea which one mine is, as apparently it’s listed on the owner manual that I don’t have :idk:)... I read somewhere that the model number also isn’t on the bike anywhere.
