There was a lack of threads under Kawasaki singles, so here's my story. I had a 97/98 KX 250. Actually, I got a 97 and 98, some parts missing and the more complete one I was told did run, but Kickstarter was broken. Well, I swapped the Kickstarter, did a couple of other things and had it running! Rode it a few times over the next few months and thought "I should check the rings" - being proactive, for a change, especially after a kdx200 I had running I checked the rings and it was as thick as it was tall, lucky not to break. So, I'll just lift the cylinder. That took a bit more than I imagined. Rings: top ring was stuck in the piston as the power valve had been sticking too far into the cylinder. Oh, oily cylinder like a crankseal failure. Well, I guess we'll do it all!
