Someone said that Honda want north of $6,000 for this thing...really? https://motorcycles.honda.com.au/Urban_Scooter/Super_Cub_C125
@maelstrom would be able to tell you approximately how many $$ they go for in Thailand - it's marketed there as a Wave 125 I believe
I believe they are looking at around A$8K for the CT125 Postie bike... I guess they aren't planning on selling too many
No, the Wave is a modern step-through. The Cub has been here for a long time and has a drum front brake. 2220 AUD https://www.autostation.com/motorbike/2020-new-honda-super-cub-ราคา
Looks like no-one told the Honda bean-counters & marketing people that Australia's market for these things is almost wholly with our postal service, Which, I believe is about to cut back on deliveries and the number of posties in the process. $8,000, you're out of your effing mind!
I think equivalent Thai price for the CT125 is around A$4500 which would be OK as it is a "cult" bike and they have kept most of the classic styling and updated the bike... front and rear discs with ABS on the front, Digital instruments, LED lights all round etc etc... but at $8K... they be dreaming...
I like this version better, but there's still no way I'm paying $8,000 for a 125 unless it's a mint CX-125 or TZR125 or, well, you get the picture.
