You will tarnish the polish if you keep doing that .

Those new pipes look like they will give it more zoom - expansion chambers as opposed to whatever the old design would be classified as

Today was engine assembly day , I took boxes of parts up to my mate Jeff and he worked his magic , I have come away with a shiny new engine. New crank bearings and seals , new pistons and rings, new clutch , all new gaskets. It is pleasure to watch a master do his thing.

and this happened.... I am chomping at the bit start it, but there is loads still to do. I trying the polish the Ram air covers, but am failing so I might send them to someone else to do them properly,

tomorrow I pickup another shedload of parts from Suzuki, and will be going to an auto electrician who sells all the old vintage plugs and clips so I can try and restore my rear harness.

If you strike out with the auto electrician on the vintage plugs, you will probably find that they are still in production.

I suspect you already know this, but for anyone watching along you can likely get them at either RS components or Farnell, who aren't as damned expensive as they used to be.

The RS components search is much better than it used to be also.

    peace out

Trying to knock over some things on my to do list, figured fitting the ram air cover would be easy .... wrong

My ram air cover was much bigger than the head , after much soul searching (over an hour) I realised that the head that came with the bike is off a much later model . I went though my spares and found the right one , then vapour blasted it and fitted it to the engine then the ram air cover went straight on.

    Hope so :)

Phil cleaned my carbs today so they are ready to be installed , just waiting on my throttle cable to arrive so I can set the oil pump. Still got 3-4 weeks before my pipes arrive, the wait is killing me

I'm guessing that about now you're getting tempted to start it without the pipes, and in about 10 minutes the tactical response group, armed to the teeth, would be swarming the place looking for multiple perpetrators because of reports of multiple shotgun blasts

That's cheating but then again I fitted one of those to my brother's trident when I was 16.
