Innovate mention in their instructions that the best spot to mount it is between 1pm and 2pm on the pipe, and that's about the only spot i could use.
Further back and my boot would be pushing on the wireing out of the sensor, further forward and the sump is in the way
The weld looks tidy now, but it's file finished mig.

I fitted the carby's back on today, filled it with coolant and started the bike up (hasn't been run since mid may) i let it warm up for 5 minute's till the temp was just under 1/4.
Connected up the LM1 and was surprised to see my idle mixture's are pretty close,
    they're between 14.3 / 1 and 14.5 / 1 at idle
I slowly took the rev's up and they went up to 14.7 at 4000rpm's, then started to drop at 5000rpm and read 13.8 at 6000rpm.
I'm pretty happy with the was it's running atm considering it's only been tuned by ear basically

I'll have a play around with it again soon, after i reregister my bike and take it out on the road an try it out again.
I haven't recalibrated the Innovate yet either, manual suggest's to recalibrate it every 3 month's
This is the first time i've ever played with an AF ratio meter too

Great work! Watching for next update. How does the logger thing work? Needs to know what rpm and throttle position to be of much use, I would assume.

I haven't looked that far into it yet.
The LM1 has options for 4? extra analogue inputs ( came with 3 cable's for this) plus tacho/rpm input so should be a pretty detailed log.
It has an inductive input socket too.
I could run a temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, tps sensor and/or an egt sensor.
I will need to try and work out some sort of tps sensor but that shouldn't be too hard, maybe just mount a small trimpot and a lever to run off the cable linkage?
Recording the data is as simple as hitting record, then once you are done you connect the LM1 to your pc or laptop via an adapter.

I noticed yesterday that the old owner forgot to give me the serial cable to connect it to the pc though.
I'll have to chase him up.

After a quick look at this the inputs may be outputs, but i'm not sure. innovate-motorsports-lm-1-digital-air_fuel-ratio-lambda-meter-page13.png analog_output_config.jpg

The BDST's on the SP Suzukis (GSXR400SP) and possibly similar for Yamahas have throttle position sensors. Anyway even if you can hook up the rpm that would be enough. It is not like you can map in 3 dimensions for carbs.

Registered the FZR this morning and took it out for a small ride down the coast this afternoon.
It still ride's nicely, no issues even with 7 month old 98 octane in it.
Weather was spitting a fair bit on the way down there and had some gusty wind's on the way back.
When i was putting the bike back together i noticed there is a special spot for the clutch cable to sit behind the rh top engine stay tube, so i refitted the clutch cable there, the way i had it running since i've owned it it sat hard up against the fairing.
Now i just need to adjust the clutch cable so i can get it into neutral while sitting at traffic light's.
The new Litetek silicon hoses performed flawlessly too, thank's Blair !

I will refit the 02 sensor and mount the Innovate meter during the week and make a video of the reading's as well.

I just got around to trying this on some broken plastics - works a treat, I welded a side fairing panel crack with ABS and the small portion right at the back over the tail light which is flimsy on the 3LN1

I recall seeing this video of the process first which gave me the idea in the first instance
