Dry! Not leaving a little puddle everywhere it goes anymore. :thumb_ups:
Edit: cleaned up the exup valve too on a wire wheel and it's working way better.
Bike is still running a little rich but it goes up to redline in gear now.

Nice job, looks good and runs sweet.

Just a word of warning, don't let it idle for too long. That is where the carb needles rattle themselves to death.

Looks great, what do you make of the quality of the Chinese fairings?? Been thinking of going down that route with my 3ln but the mixed reviews have scared me

I guess it depends on the manufacturer, but you'll probably need to make some of the mounting holes slightly bigger, my set had two or three I had to adjust but nothing drastic, pocket knife will do ya.

Also you gotta send them multiple pictures so they get the colour right! I sent them one of the right colour scheme but it was in sunlight, so it's slightly gold compared to the fuel tank(looks better imo though) Otherwise the quality is pretty decent, more flexible than original ones. They do take care with them though, no crappy sharp edges or anything.

Edit: The addition of a windscreen and Bolt kit is pretty convenient if they include it.

That's a 3LN thing. From what I have seen of the earlier 2KR/3HX designs, they have spring loaded caps for the needles that stop them rattling and wearing out

$300 for the bike, $1500 for parts(around about) $560 for the fairings.
Bout $2300 if I'm rounding up. Expensive but I'm happy as can be with it. IMAG0344.jpg IMAG0338.jpg

At least you know exactly what you have and what has gone into it and you haven’t forked out the same amount or more only to find a long list of stuff still to do.
Good job, now you just need to put some miles on her.

Thanks, pretty proud of the old girl. One issue I experienced was that I couldn't shift from third to second on the way back unless I used my hand. Clutch? Shifter adjustments?

On a 3LN this is the optimal position for the linkage (blue arrow)

Also u can adjust the height of the gear lever by undoing the lock nuts and turning the rod with your fingers ... 1 nut is a 'reverse' thread ... and grease up plenty under the rubber boots

I think that's dirt cheap for what you've got. I'd gladly pay that!

Thanks guys, honestly you've all helped out heaps with this build.
She's shifting smoothly and alot safer to ride.
    ..And now boiling coolant :lolsign:
there's no oil in the coolant, or coolant in the oil, no smoke from the exhuast. And when the cap is off I can't see any air bubbles or pockets coming out, this seems like just heat related. Could this be a radiator cap issue, or perhaps thermostat? This was in 35° weather, but still. Is there any generic caps I can get to replace this one if so?

Next on the agenda is repainting the wheels and getting some fresh tires on her
