Had a crack at syncing the carbs today, all was going good but then as i was adjusting the middle screw all of a sudden my bike starting sitting at 6000 rpm, ive tried loosing the idle adjuster and its sitting nearly out of the housing and still wont come down. The housing that the idle control goes into is nearly wound all the way out and the plate that gets pushed up by the idle bolt doesn’t seem to sit flush, not sure how its suppose to sit?
Are you using a vacuum balance gauge? This issue can happen when the throttles are way out of balance, and another one is against its' stop, but the main carb with the throttle linkage is not.
What Linkin said, and your mixture screws may also be too lean. Here is a pic of the throttle shaft in the fully closed position. As you can see it is not your problem.
Yeah i was using a carb tune vacuum gauge. What would be the best thing to do? When it first happened I tried to back the middle screw out instead but the issue remained the same.
