Yeh, I'm totally in love with it. It came out so much better than I thought it would. I'm now thinking of doing tank grips with A'Tuin on each side. Nerd, I know. So, today I did actually drop off the old brake lines locally so they can use them as a template for the new ones. They're not going to be purple. Since they'll be ready by Wednesday, I can live with that. Did get something else that was purple today though. Bike's in pieces, but hey, I got something pretty. Priorities, right?
Finally got my little fold up trailer from Its holiday in Melbourne after buying it on eBay And I found a really good tank for the VTR so I cancelled the repairs on the original tank. Sitting in position to keep it safe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Madness I say, madness! I left work Friday afternoon to pack for a weekend trip to collect some bikes - about 1600km round-trip. After some details, like rewiring the trailer plug, I was on my way. To somewhere... I packed a swag so I was sleeping on the side of the road. Sleeping might be exaggerating, it was cold. So much so that I got up at about half past 3 in morning and started off again. A few other delays, like forgetting to get cash out before arriving at the seller's place, but all in all, it was a good trip. The only roo I hit (it was full moon) was just its tail. There were a few dead roos around, so very lucky. The trip went well enough that I even made it home for church. Now I have 1 and 2 half bikes... extra bikes. Time to get some things done and move some bikes on.
Couldn't work out what the noise was on the Triumph. So called the Good Doctor in for a health check.... Turns out to be - noisy bearings on the alternator.... time to rebuild it...
Aren't you lucky to have "the good doctor" who makes house calls. But the big question is.... Does he bulk bill. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
I bought a 03 CR250 earlier this year however it was a total turd - so many issues with it that I won't even begin to mention them. Last week I saw a CRF450 for sale for an odd price. I bargained the guy down and picked it up the next night. The crankcase is cracked and shattered near the output shaft. But it has a lot of nice parts including black excel rims in really good condition and an oversize front brake rotor. I was pulling it apart to evaluate if it was worth fixing, or scavenging parts for the CR250 (I want the fork and wheels). Hit a major road block with the swing arm bolt. The previous owner must have never taken it out because it was stuck! After applying heat and WD-40 to no avail I had to get creative as shown below. A crankcase splitter is a very versatile tool. A sledge hammer too! Now I can take apart the engine and see what went wrong and what to do next...
This happened today! Passed inspection & registered! So stoked - thanks to the guys here & the knowledge base in these forums Time for a ride! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice one mate ! Bike looks awesome. Is the plate covering the right indicator ? Actually, dam that's a big plate. Vic motorcycle number plates are half that size.
Was temporarily fitted off centre (I had to drill some holes to centre it), all good now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just had my first on road pillion experience on the FZR. It went well, very smooth and the passenger had a good idea of what to do as well. I reckon my 10yo son will be the next passenger once i find him some decent riding gear.
