Hey All I picked up a copy of Used and Classic Bike Enthusiast, a new magazine from the guys that run Rapid magazine, great write up on an RD350LC and a Kwakka ZXR250, plus there are some good articles on carby cleaning etc. Grab a copy, its a good read Chris
The ZXR250C is the one I did for my daughter and there is an article on spray painting at home, which is how where I did the Kwaka. It is not a 250, but the Lambretta is mine too. First issue had a CBR250RR MC22 I rescued as well. Even taking away my bias, it is a good mag and getting better each quarterly issue. Next one has the next stage of the Lambretta and the "Little Bargains" is a short write up on a mate's RGV250 that he is doing up. If anyone is interested, the latest Rapid Bikes has a tech tip on repairing plastics.
Hey Punch Really enjoyed articles in issue 2, so much so that I am about to order a copy of issue 1. The photos of the Lambretta were great, you are obviously a man who loves RUST, Italian products can get that way. Many moons ago I also owned a Lambretta but it wasn't an Italian love affair, she didn't like corners like I did, it was a very short affair. Seem to recall that it was a 175cc or 180cc, honest can't recall. Anyway good luck with the project, look forward to seeing the final outcome. Love your work. Cheers Phil
Next issue of UCBE has a Tech Tip with more details setting up and using an electrolytic bath, plus phase 2 of the Lambretta about dent removal. I called it Dollies, Slappers and Scooters. It amused me at least! A bit distracted at the moment though - I have a Duc 1198 on loan to Rapid Bikes from Frasers in the shed! Well not in the shed that much! Can't wait to start modding it al a RB style. Richard
