During my VT250F2 rebuild I found that the small shim washers behind the speedo drive gear were missing. @Frankster was kind enough to remove the front wheel from one of his bikes and send to me the two shims to copy for my bike and make a couple of spares for him. I started with some old 1 1/4" bar (not 32mm) and cut off a short length to fit in Lathe. This I centre drilled, then 5mm drill followed by a 22mm drill. Then using a boring bar took the inner diameter out to the required 23mm. I turned the outer diameter down to 28.5mm, and using a parting tool slowly cut off the shims. Will need to be cleaned up with a file but should do a great job for a hard to get part. Also did some nylon shims for a triumph.
