I have no idea to be honest, when I did the front & rear pads I only checked that the seals are in place and not squished out or leaking. The boots for the sliders are in good nick though. The issue with the bracket is that the part is NLA, seems a bit silly on Kawasaki's part.
All brake parts are available as far as I know. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/282890282309
My H4 LED globes arrived today, so I got about to fitting them after I got home. The globes that were in the bike were H6 35/60 watts, to my surprise. Everything I've read has always said they are H4R. I'll spare the pictures of the mangle- *ahem* modifications I did to fit the H4 globes. But basically, I cut off the lower tabs, bent the top one back towards the plug (otherwise they point too high) and bent the top left edge where the cutout is on the H6 (see photo, top right, kinda hard to see) Now the standard globes' output isn't worth photographing so here are the LED ones. iPhone pics aren't the greatest, and it was only just getting dark. Plenty of streetlights around so I went back to the driveway. Low beam High beam Low beam again High beam again Lens lowbeam Lens Highbeam
Nice... but they still look a little high based on the amount of wash to the left on the fence.. proof of the pudding is how they are to ride with at night... they look like they should be much better.
Care package from megazip arrived yesterday so I got busy. New clutch cable, new speedo cable and guide for the mudguard, and a new spring clip to replace the one @GreyImport sent me I planned to do both sets of spark plug seals, but upon pulling the coils and plugs out, I found that they were only barely weeping, so I've left them for another time (next valve clearance check most likely) Put a set of CR9EIX iridium plugs in, here are the old plugs... looks to be a bit on the rich side, some burnt oil leftovers, and the white banding on the tips makes me think that they were slightly lean at idle. I pulled the carbs off and reset all the pilots once again, this time to 2.75 turns out. Work had a fancy new electronic balance gauge set, so I got the honour of using them. The previous set of gauges were less than ideal, and there were only 2 of them, so we were constantly swapping them around to do 4 cylinder bikes... no longer... Before: After - I accidentally pulled #3 line off while moving the gauges so ignore the drop, you can see its balanced at the very beginning.
Fitted my new windscreen yesterday. Much better than the standard unit, which is very low & flat, so much so that it restricts view of the instruments. Don't have that problem now, and have better wind protection. Bought it from JRE Accessories in QLD off ebay.
Look's like this Double Bubble one, just with lighter tint ? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kawasak...hash=item33e592dc67:m:mVlHymcwwXShauQzjS0d2Ww The other one look's a lot lower than your's https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kawasak...hash=item33e571dc47:m:mzamWkitzJJAxC9mOImOaJw
Replaced the screen bolts with SD-R anodised items, and the screen cracked! NOT happy with myself for that... going to have to do something to stop it from spreading further... I am also in contact with HEL Australia about ZXR250C braided brake line kits, shall see what happens there.
